PARTIES

The Union houses seven different parties across the political spectrum, each distinct in character, tradition, and debate. The Parties serve as smaller forums of debate within one's political community, addressing the divides within movements, and helping members develop their personal philosophies. Parties are, more importantly, a community of friends that meet for their own debates, formals, and other social events every week. The traditional order of the parties is the Party of the Left, the Progressive Party, the Independent Party, the Federalist Party, the Conservative Party, the Tory Party, and the Party of the Right.

COALITIONS

Members of the Union fall into one of the three traditional coalitions: the Coalition of the Left, the Independent Coalition, and the Coalition of the Right. All members of the Party of the Left and the Progressive Party coalition with the Left and all members of the Federalist Party, the Conservative Party, the Tory Party, and the Party of the Right coalition with the Right. Members of the Independent Party and unaffiliated members can coalition with any three coalitions. Floor Leaders of the Left and the Right act as liaisons between their coalitions and the Speaker.
